30 Weeks

Its been a long time since I last updated this blog. I guess that is what happens when you get further into the pregnancy and lazy :)
I am now 30 weeks (only 10 more to go!). We cant wait to meet her! I have been feeling pretty well and keep myself busy with sewing projects for the baby, and spending lots of time with soon to be Big Brother Baylin.




We have moved into our new home and starting to prepare for Baby Girl's arrival. We are in love with our home and enjoy making it ours...and the place that our baby will be born :) I am busy sewing curtains and Clement is building a new picnic table for the deck (such a handyman!). Baylin built his first compost bin ( the worms are now dead thanks to the 100 degree + heat we had). We have met some of our wonderful neighbors, Clement mowed the lawn for his very first time, and I have a nice little herb garden going along side the many wildflowers that are planted around the house (including a little strawberry patch!)

Baylin and I have started learning French. So far so good ;)

4 months

16 Weeks- 4 Months!

We had our 16 week appointment this morning in our home with our midwife Liz. Everything looks and sounds great! Baby is growing right on schedule (should be, I eat every 20 minutes!), and the heartbeat is 140 bpm. Big Brother Baylin got to listen to his own heart beat too ! Baylin is a great Midwife Assistant and loves to help Liz get my blood pressure and measure my belly. Home visits are so special to me, and is helping to create a bond for Baylin with his new brother or sister.

I have really started to feel the baby a lot in the past week. A few days ago Clement was able to feel small flicks on my belly when he touched it. I cant wait till we can both feel and see the baby move more. I enjoy my nightly belly rubs , and I know Baby Bird does too :)

I finished sewing the baby bedding for the crib today, just a simple soft blanket with bird fabric. Took me forever to find fabric that I loved. Im sure I will change my mind again and make another one ;)

Some of our friends and family have asked if we are registered anywhere. We in fact are :) I have completed (for the most part) our registry on Amazon.com. You can click here to get to it Baby Bird's Registry. We will be moving to our home sometime in May, so I dont have our address in the registry. If you wish to mail gifts to Baby Bird, we will be sure to update you all with our new address sometime next month :)


Only a few more weeks till we get to see 3D sonograms of the baby! I cant wait to see his/her little face <3

14 Weeks

Welcome! Bienvenue!

Clément and I thought that this website would be a wonderful way to keep everyone in the family updated with the pregnancy and how the baby is doing. We will try to update regularly with pictures and stats.

Clément et moi (surtout moi, Antonette) pensons que ce site web serait une merveilleuse manière de garder tout le monde à jour à propos du bébé. Nous essaierons de mettre à jour ce blog régulièrement avec des photos et stats.

Tomorrow I will be 13 weeks pregnant (3 months). Our due date is September 30th 2010, and we plan on delivering at home with a midwife.

Demain, je serais à 13 semaines de grossesse ( 3 mois). La naissance du bébé est prévue autour du 30 Septembre 2010, et nous prévoyons d'avoir un accouchement à domicile avec une sage-femme.

The first three months were really hard. I was very sick, and tired (and im sure Clément will tell you that I was very moody!) .

Les trois premiers mois ont été vraiment difficile. J'étais très malade et fatigué (Je suis sûr que Clément vous dira que j'étais très émotive.)


We dont want to know the sex of the baby (sorry!) We feel it would be more fun for you all to wait ;)

Nous ne voulons pas connaître le sexe du bébé (désolé!). Il sera plus agréable pour vous tous de deviner ;)

Our next appointment is March 29th.
Notre prochain rendez-vous est le 29 Mars.
